If you are flying out of Palm Beach International Airport there are several useful things to be aware of.

Transfers to Palm Beach International Airport

Rental Cars – The onsite rental car companies at Palm Beach Airport have desks located on the Baggage Claim level, Level One, of the airport. From there the companies offer shuttle transfers to the location of the rented vehicle car park, which is only a few minutes away.

Public Buses – Route 44 of Palm Beach County’s Palm Tran public transport service runs between Intermodal Transit Center and Vista Center with a stop on outer curbside on Level One, the Baggage Claim level, at the airport.

The fare for a single adult is $2.00 payable through exact change in fareboxes when boarding the bus. The buses run once an hour every day, with earlier and later departures during weekdays than during weekends.

Greyhound Buses – The Greyhound stop is situated at the Intermodal Transit Center in West Palm Beach. Palm Tran route 44 connects the Intermodal Transit Center with the airport daily.

Hotel Courtesy Shuttles – Hotels that have a permit issued by PBI may collect or drop off their guests directly from the airport. These services are handled by the hotels themselves.

Taxis – Taxis will drop the passenger off in front of the terminal’s entrances.

Tri-Rail Trains – For travelers arriving at West Palm Beach on the Tri-Rail train, a rail service connecting West Palm Beach with Miami and many locations in between, a free non-stop shuttle is provided for transfer to Palm Beach Airport.

Amtrak Trains – For travelers arriving to West Palm Beach on an Amtrak train, which provides rail connections throughout the US, a shuttle service is provided by Amtrak. Palm Tran route 44 also connects the Amtrak station, located at the Intermodal Transit Center, and the airport.

Parking at Palm Beach International Airport

There are 4 car parking areas at Palm Beach Airport.

Economy Parking – Located a 10-15 minute walk from the terminal. During the pandemic the complimentary shuttle that runs between the airport and the parking lot has been discontinued. The lot is open air and on airport property and it allows for up to 30 days of parking at $7.00 per day.

Short Term Parking – Located with direct access to the terminal building on Level Four. Offers both covered and open air parking as well as charging stations for electric vehicles on a first come/first serve basis. The fee is $17.00 per day.

Long Term Parking – Located in the parking garage opposite the terminal building for $13.00 per day. Charging stations for electric vehicles are available on Level 2 on a first come/first serve basis.

Premium Parking – Conveniently located outside Baggage Claim. Fees are $2.00 for the first 20 minutes, $1.00 for each additional 20 minute period and $30.00 per day.

There are free public telephones situated on each level of the terminals as well as in Concourses B and C for visitors to make free local calls or toll-free phone calls from.

Pet Relief Areas at Palm Beach International Airport

There are two indoor pet relief areas located post-security in Concourses B and C where travellers can allow their pets to run and get relief before the flight. The areas are fenced and provided with a nice wood chip and a grassy area, and waste bags are provided for free. There are another two areas outdoors on Baggage Claim level, Level One.

Lost and Found at Palm Beach International Airport

The Lost and Found office is located on Level Two in the Main Terminal area, and it is open between 8.30AM and 4.30PM Monday-Friday.

Opening hours at Palm Beach International Airport

The airport is closed between 11.00PM and 3.30AM to give the janitorial staff the opportunity to clean and sanitize the airport without disturbances.

Covid-19 Test at Palm Beach International Airport

Ticketed passengers can now get tested for Covid-19 at the Helix Medical Testing Center located pre-security on Level Two, adjacent to the Concourse C security checkpoint. Testing needs to be scheduled beforehand by visiting https://helixvm.com/

The testing center is open Monday-Friday 9.00AM-5.00PM and Saturday-Sunday 9.00AM-2.00PM.
