Transfers to and from West Palm Beach Airport

When you arrive at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in West Palm Beach, Florida please remember to collect your luggage from the Baggage claim area before proceeding to your choice of transfer.

Which transfer option is best suited for you depends on your wallet and where your destination is, but mostly the public transportation transfers go to West Palm Beach.

Rental Cars at Palm Beach Airport

The car rental companies at Palm Beach Airport are located on Level One in the Baggage Claim area of the airport terminal. The rental vehicles are parked in one of the several rental car parking lots in the area surrounding the airport and the companies have complimentary shuttles available for transferring their customers to their vehicles.

To return a rented vehicle follow the instructions from your rental car company, and please make sure to collect all your belongings before the return of the vehicle.

Buses at Palm Beach Airport

Palm Beach County provides public bus transport within the county and bus route 44 runs between Palm Beach Airport and West Palm Beach. The bus runs east and west from the airport with departures approximately once an hour in both directions from morning to early evening during weekdays, with departures starting later and ending earlier during the weekends.

Fares are paid in a farebox in exact change when boarding the bus. A single journey is $2.00.

The bus stop is on the outer curbside on Level One, Baggage Claim. Route maps can be found inside.

Greyhound Bus - The nearest Greyhound stop is in West Palm Beach at the Intermodal Transit Center in West Palm Beach.

Hotel Courtesy Shuttle – Some hotels have a permit issued by Palm Beach Airport to collect their guests from the airport. These shuttles can be found on the outer curbside on Level One by following the signs in the airport. These shuttles are arranged through the hotels directly.

Taxis at Palm Beach Airport

The taxi rank is located in the Ground Transportation area located past carousel 6 in the baggage claim, Level One, of the terminal. No reservations are required and walk-ups are welcomed.

Trains at Palm Beach Airport

Tri-Rail - The Tri-Rail station in West Palm Beach offers free shuttle bus services between the airport and the train station. They provide services between West Palm Beach and Miami with stops on the way. The shuttle stop can be found in the Ground Transportation area on Level One, Baggage Claim and there are Tri-Rail signs to follow in the airport.

Amtrak – Amtrak provides a shuttle service to transfer travelers between Palm Beach Airport and the Amtrak station located at the Intermodal Transit Center in West Palm Beach. Amtrak offers short and long distance rail transportation services throughout the US.
